HOW IT WORKS
Professional & Enthusiast Photographers require true Colour and Density output in terms of print output. In order to achieve this and have full control of what print quality you receive back from us, you must start with Calibrating your PC or Mac screen for Colour and Density.
Screen Calibration can easily be achieved with a Colour Munki or Spider, many of which are available online and very easy to setup and use. (Please feel free to call or use the contact form with any further questions).
The next step to achieve the correct print output is to use the 'Contact' link below, fill in the form and we will send you the latest Unique Colour profile for both Satin & Glossy Fuji paper and inks which we will be used to create your prints, this will help get you the correct colour and density for your printed image, again what you see on your calibrated screen is what you get back.
Once you have downloaded our profile you must install on your Mac or PC
INSTALLING THE PROFILE
PC. Download profile to your Desktop, right click on the icon and click install then reopen Photoshop.
MAC. From your desktop go to –
Go at the top menu bar – computer – Mackintosh HD – Library – Colorsync – Profiles, then go back and drag and drop profile icon into the Profiles folder. (you may be asked for your password).
You can then open your file in photoshop and convert you image to that profile and ‘save As’ for printing after any other editing necessary.
Why are profiles important?
In order to achieve an exact colour replica of the image on your calibrated screen, it’s necessary to use the same colour profile as our equipment.
We process your images using our unique custom ICC colour profile for our printer, paper and ink set up, this is specifically created for processing your images correctly. This means that when preparing your files you are working with colours that exactly match the colours used by our printing equipment. You can download our ICC profiles to your computer to use with your photo manipulation software; this will enable Greens Photo Centre to obtain the most accurate colour match to your calibrated screen, again ‘what you see on screen is what you get back in print.
